This notice explains how Golden Insight LLC collects and uses personal data through this website, and the rights you have. It covers the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and, for people in the United Kingdom, the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Golden Insight LLC is responsible for the personal data described here: we decide how and why it is used, which makes us the controller of that data. You can contact us through the contact page on this website.
What this notice covers
This notice covers personal data collected through goldeninsightgroup.com, mainly through our enquiry form. If we go on to work together, we will explain separately how we handle data as part of that work.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect:
- your name and company name
- your email address
- your phone number, if you choose to give it
- your country
- the services you are interested in
- your message
- your confirmation that you have read this notice, and the date and time you sent the enquiry.
To protect the form from spam and misuse, we also create a scrambled, one-way version (a hash) of your internet (IP) address. It is used only to limit how many messages can be sent in a short time, and it is deleted within one hour.
Please do not include sensitive information, such as health or financial details, in your message.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not load fonts, scripts or other content from other companies. It sets no cookies for visitors. If we add analytics in future, we will update this notice and ask for your consent before any non-essential cookies are set.
How we protect it
The website is served over an encrypted connection. Enquiries are stored in a private area of the website that only its administrators can see, and the notification email goes only to our own inbox. The form limits how many messages one visitor can send in a short time, and enquiries are deleted automatically at the end of the retention period below.
Why we use your data, and our lawful basis
We use your details to:
- reply to your enquiry and arrange a conversation
- prepare a proposal if you ask for one
- keep a record of the enquiries we receive
- protect the website from spam and misuse.
We do not use enquiry details to send marketing emails, and we do not sell your data or share it for anyone else's marketing. No decision about you is made by a machine alone.
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, we rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and on the processing being needed to take steps you have asked for before entering into a contract.
Under UK GDPR, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our business, and on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for 12 months from the date we receive them and then delete them automatically. If your enquiry leads to us working together, we keep what we need for that work and for our legal and accounting obligations, and we will tell you how long that is.
Who processes your data for us
- Our website hosting provider stores this website and the enquiries sent through it.
- Our email service provider carries the enquiry notification from the website to our inbox.
These providers act only on our instructions. We do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
International transfers
Our providers may store or process your data in countries other than the one you live in, including outside the UAE and the UK. Where that happens, we rely on the data protection terms in our contracts with those providers, which include the standard contractual clauses recognised under UK law for data leaving the UK, and, for data covered by the UAE law, on the consent you give when you send the form. You can ask us about these safeguards through the contact page.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your data
- ask us to restrict or stop using your data
- object to us using your data for our legitimate interests
- receive your data in a format you can take elsewhere
- withdraw your consent at any time.
How to make a request
Send us a message through our contact page and start it with "Privacy request". Tell us what you would like us to do. We may need to confirm your identity before we act. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In the UAE, this is the UAE Data Office.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice if the way we use personal data changes, for example if we add analytics to the website. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
